Can someone please tell me where the small spring connects to the door panel so the pocket lid has tension on it as I do not see anything. Thank you.

Well, I always wondered about that spring. Now I know! So I go out to my car and poke the bottom of the spring through the hole in the door and stretch the top part back into it's slot. Just like it should be I guess. Why is the spring that stiff? It really snaps shut!
