Hi there,
I am at the stage of putting the speedometer back together. I would like to omit the EGR counter since the previous owner converted the car to carburetors, and this is a 1975 model that does not require a smog check in California. My question is: do I need to physically bypass the EGR counter? If so, how do I connect the short cable from the gauge to the long cable? The long cable does not seem long enough. I also checked and it looks like there is only one cable type used for all years. Second question: regarding the trip counter cable — does it look complete? Where is it supposed to connect to? If anyone has a picture for reference, that would be very helpful. Thank you very much for your help and attention. Attached thumbnail(s) |

I was under the impression that you change the cable to an early one piece unit and good to go ,would expect the egr light will no longer function but never had any thing to do with this TBO ,cheers.
