The mating numbers are on the top about middle on the case stud bosses @daveP help me here Is 2R / 3R “normal” or is this more of a situation where the factory revised one side before the other? I know I have a 7R (73.5’ 2.4L) pair but perhaps that’s more a unique situation of 7R being the end of the line for the mag cases and the two halves were both at the same revision simultaneously? Similarly I always thought / read the 3R cases were largely equipped with oil squirters vs the early 2.0l 2R cases without? Even in the Bruce Anderson book this is all pretty fuzzy. Want to learn more. Note: cool Matrix - hadn’t seen that before. I guess coincidental I’ve only seen 2R/2R or 3R/3R matched pairs - I’m defiantly not well versed on nuances of 911 history. |
