So here’s the deal…..this rear coil over setup came with an abandoned 914 race car project. I have never seen this koni combination before seeing that it is inverted. I was told they have seen track time and worked well with 300lbs springs. Are there any racers that have and could give me there good…..or bad …. experiences with these? I did reach out to Koni and the rep I spoke too didn’t know what a 914 was…..go figure.

No experience with this exact set up but, at the very least, inverting will reduce unsprung weight.

No experience with this exact set up but, at the very least, inverting will reduce unsprung weight. Maybe i should start another thread about the physics of running progressive springs upside-down? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whip[1].gif) PS: Back in my dirt-bike racing days, running the mono shocks (with progressive springs) upside-down was a common upgrade. |
