Hi there,
My left and right turn signals won’t flash when the headlights or parking lights are on. The turn signal switch works even when the key is off. My turn signal switch is very worn out. The high beams only work occasionally, and the return spring is missing. I am getting a new switch, but I’m wondering if that is the issue, or if there could be a wiring problem causing the turn signals to stop flashing when the headlights are on. Tks. |

OK, I'm going to admit that wiring issues are where I have the least experience, but as a general approach you already know that you have a defective switch and from a logical approach to your problem you should start with the known problem, remedy that, and then reassess. An inspection of the wiring as you replace the switch may also reveal hidden problems that you can fix at that time (worn insulation, bad grounds, etc.) If you don't do that you run the risk of going down rabbit holes, complicating things, performing unnecessary work, and increasing the risk of needing to be put on antipsychotic meds (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .
Good luck! |
