I put my car back together recently. I think everything is as it should be. Yesterday I started it and it ran for like 10 seconds and then died. I wasn't able to give it gas cause I wasn't fully seated in the car.

Today when I got in the car the generator light was on.

I started it and it ran for like 30 seconds then died. The gas pedal seemed unresponsive. Now it will crank but makes no signs of sparking. I'm only getting 7.5 volts on the + side of the coil with the ignition on.

It's still not starting.

I am getting a dwell reading now though. I wasn't before. My timing light isn't flashing when I crank it.

It's cranking better than it ever has in all the time I've had this car. I don't think it's the battery. It's dropping down to 11 volts at the coil when cranking.

I've swapped the coil. I've changed the condense. I know the points are opening and closing. The cap and rotor don't have many miles on them.

This system isn't so complex. I don't know where else to look for a problem.
