This was another 5 minute job that turned into a hour. A few things I ran into that will maybe save someone else some time.

Maybe the specs are different for different manufacturers. The ones I received were made by Hamburg-Technic. The cone was too wide / rubber to hard to fully seat. I tried:
* Pushing from top with pliers
* Pulling from bottom with pliers
* Screwing them in
* Dish soap
* Heat gun

1. Buy extras. I broke 6 of these.
2. Reduce the diameter. I used a Dremel with a sanding cylinder to grind down the diameter of the cone area. Lubricated with dish soap.
3. Install the mounts on the pump first. They are nearly as hard to get seated in the pump base as to pull through the body. I was able to get them with dish soap and needle nose pliers.
4. Have someone push down on the pump with the mounts inserted in the holes. Pull from inside with with pliers.

Not an exciting topic, but knowing this in advance would have same me some grief. Thank goodness I had extras.
