My speedometer stopped working right after I filled up for gas.

I checked the angle drive and it does not appear to turn when the car is in gear at idle.

I then disconnected the speedo cable at the gauge, and the cable does spin when turning by hand at the rear but this did not move the speedometer needle at all when plugged in.

This makes me think I might have two separate issues (angle drive and gauge), but I’m not sure if I’m testing this correctly.

You can put a drill on the end of the cable and try spinning it to see if the speedo responds. Sorry I can't remember which way to spin it.

Spin it counter clockwise

First remove the soeedo drive and turn the input end and see if the output end turns.

If it is'good hook up a drill to the cable.
800 rpms is'about 69 mph.
