Getting close to finishing the engine for an ‘86 turbo. He’s also a 914 owner (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
Soon it will be on the test stand and once it’s running, we will convert to electronic ignition and coil on plug. I can’t remember the compression ratio but I recall it being a bit more than stock. The real hero of the build is the cam and turbo upgrade. Cams are turbo SC and the turbo is highly modified and builds boost 500-800 rpm’s earlier than stock. We’ve built two similar engines and they are a hoot. Hopefully it will make the owner smile. Attached thumbnail(s)

With 180,000 miles on the engine, it was leaking oil from every interface/hose, blowing smoke out the exhaust, and had an intermittent miss on one cylinder. Turns out the Beru spark plug caps all cracked and one was making intermittent contact causing the miss. Didn't help that I cross threaded #2 spark plug.
