the pumpkin's gas tank has black flakes in it when I looked with the borescope. Should I have it cleaned(boiled?) out or should I get a new one. If cleaned out do radiator shops do that?

Things may have changed now, but about 4 years ago I met a 914 owner who purchased a new Dansk tank and regretted doing so due to fitment issues.
