This escalated quickly! 1.8 is out, getting ready ready for the 2056 to go in.

I wrapped up all of the known 'to do' items this weekend by installing the multi-gauge (fuel & oil temp). It feels amazing to have the car back together!

From the last shakedown run I found the shifter and clutch needed adjusting. I took care of that, bled the brakes again, and took it for a for another shakedown run,. I manag3d to put 20 miles on it around town. Everything went pretty well with the shifter/trans. Brakes are still soft. Head temps in around town traffic hovered around 250 on the gauge. Oil temps were stable around a tad below the middle of the oil temp gauge.

The most interesting part is that the car is slow to return to idle and often hangs between 2k and 1800 rpms. If I leave it in gear and drag the brakes the idle will drop to 1k rpms. Need to figure that out. I am feeling pretty encouraged about the progress so far. Car drives well, no squeaks or rattles.

To do list:
Weld on the afr bung
Mount setrab oil cooler
Get 15x6 Fuchs back from restoration
Install fan, fan shroud
Get 15" tires & install
Adjust right trunk hinge to fix uneven gaps
Repaint engine grills on engine cover
install new P O R S C H E letters on engine cover
Get new battery and install
Finish MC install and bleed brakes
Break in the cam (will break it in with carbs)
Get harnesses back from El Jeffe
Install alternator
Install all the powder coated tins & new gaskets
Set thermostat cable/flaps
Reassemble the L-Jet
Figure out how to adapt and install the GoWesty throttle body
Figure out how install A123 Distributor
Fill Transmission with fluid
Install circuit board and heater blower
Install Motor
Plumb oil cooler and install sandwich plate
Install shift linkage
Install exhaust & heat parts
Wire up CHT sensor
Wire up AFR sensor
Get motor running
Re-route oil lines
Wire up relay/thermostat for oil cooler fan
Wire up the AFR sensor controller and synch to my phone.
Install CHT gauge
Install new combo gauge w/oil temp & fuel
Fabricate and install heat shield above passenger exhaust header to shield oil lines

Figure out why the car hangs at 1800-2000 rpms at idle.
