Brain trust: On our 74 FI BB engine, I’m at the point of connecting the FI intake runners and the throttle body to the engine. It looks to me to be a puzzle of what to put together first. So many questions:
Lube the runners and hose joints?
Sealer or grease on the runners to the heads?
What sequence works best? Runners to plenum? Runners to heads? How many hands do I need?

Resist the urge to overthink this, it’s not that hard and is forgiving.

Mount plenum to engine, TB to plenum, or put these together on the bench.

Slide each runner side into the plenum gaskets, no sealer/lube needed, they shrink up tight. Use a thin coat of high heat copper sealant on both surfaces of the head/runner gaskets and tight them down.

Done.
