Since it was on the hoist anyway, I was just going to have the mechanic put the bumpers on, but he said something was not right with the front one, so he didn't bother with the rear one yet.
On the current fiberglass ones, the bracket sticks out further than the chrome ones, so I don't know if this is part, or all of the problem? It's on a 1975.
He said the back of the rubber bumps into the V grove at the top.

Or needing those dog bones??

Since the car is a 75, has the extra lip to catch the BUB have been removed?
