Had clutch replaced and shop didn’t reconnect the ground strap when putting the trans back up. Hence the sluggish starting issue. Couldn’t find where to connect it to the trans, so connected it to the engine mount bolt (ground confirmed; see pic). New OEM strap is same length as old. I’ve replaced it before but don’t think I used the engine mount. Where should it go on the trans? |

That ground strap attaches to a pressed-in threaded stud on the trunk floor immediately above the trans.

It *really* doesn't matter which bolt/stud you attach it to, it just needs to be attached, but here a pic of the one on my race car using one of the top studs. And these types of grounds straps are common if you need/want more length. ![]() |
