Blue tint on filler of windshield washer bottle Options

So on my windshield washer bottle the neck has a blue tint to it. All of my cars which are all 74 LE cars have a blue tint to the neck. I got a deduction at lake placid for having this blue tint. Was this an original feature to these cars or to later cars in general?

easy to do.
these are all trustworthy examples in my view. good to very good to excellent condition original unrestored cars. all 1.8s

i have more examples all with blue bottles, but above are ones i trust without thinking too much about it.

here is a 11/74 build. hard to tell for sure.



doesn't look blue. but could just be aged. i'd have to dig further but maybe its a change that came in at some point in that late 1973 period.
i do have another example of a very very very early 1.8 off the line on file in very original condition. but unfortunately the photos did not include a clear view of the bottle. i think i might go exploring BAT for examples of the 74 2.0L cars built from aug to late oct 73 just to see what they have. could well be this change happens just as the 1.8s start getting built. the 1.8s from dec 73 on sure do look like they have the blue bottles right through to june 74 build. and if so, the 2.0L cars inclusive of the LEs would have been the same.
