Could someone please make photos of an original connection at the battery for the positive cable? As the battery clamp portion is so often replaced with one from a local auto parts store, I am interested to see how the original was done, especially how the auxiliary wires are attached.

Like many things Porsche did back in the day, what got fitted was based on parts available during production and deviated often times.
That lends credibility that cars had build variations. The 914 workshop manual shows 904 license plate lights in one photo, I'm sure it was a prototype thing. It's part of what makes early cars unique. This is for certain an original negative original cable you can see the minus dash on the brass lug.  |
