I am looking to get a fair value on some new old stock front footwell factory carpet mats that i wish to list for sale on the forum. I have one set of driver and passenger Brown mats, and 2 different coloured Brown passenger mats.
I have searched the forum for similar sales but have had no luck. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance. Dave |

@beltwerks
that part label says its for both a 70 and 71 going off PET. passenger side piece. so basically for the early cars with the fixed seat on that side. reasonably valuable piece for the right person who would need it. you won't find that part growing on a tree any more. most of the black carpet used back then can be sourced from stock these days to make a repro set. but the browns are real tricky to dig up any kind of matching stock for. i have a feeling that in the case of the 73 and 74 cars its no longer made by any one for a reason. it faded. very quickly. and discoloured. even when new. whatever the dye was that they achieved the coloring with - which was almost like natural brown sheep wool just wasn't up to it. the brown in the set you have is a different story. but nevertheless i have never seen it in my searches for carpet stock with european manufacturers. |
