Is it possible to put a manual choke on Weber 44 IDF'S. I live at 5200 feet above sea level and have a hard time starting my 914. Any help would be appreciated.

Now, we might be able to help with your hard start...
Need to know about the motor. Size, how "high performance" it is, compression ratio, camshaft numbers, expected use (Race/Solo/street). Expected average RPM (race motor 4-7K where a street motor would be 2-4K) Need to know about the carbs. Venturis size, main, air, idle jet Need ignition info. Still on original points? If the basic carb size to engine/expected use is not in the right range, you could easily have all sorts of issues including hard start. What you got? Trying to help here.
