Is it possible to put a manual choke on Weber 44 IDF'S. I live at 5200 feet above sea level and have a hard time starting my 914. Any help would be appreciated.

If you have points and a condenser in your dizzy I would suggest an electronic ignition. Mine was a maybe maybe not starter, swapped out for electronic ignition. One push on the throttle and two turns of the starter motor and the engine fired. Now you have to keep it running, I moved my go fast foot on the throttle like I was keeping 8/4 time. Engine would cough, sputter and clear up. But I had to keep the RPM's up manually till it warmed up. This time around I built a hand throttle so I do not have to heel toe till it's warm enough to idle.
