Is it possible to put a manual choke on Weber 44 IDF'S. I live at 5200 feet above sea level and have a hard time starting my 914. Any help would be appreciated.

Gatorsnapper just posted an add for 44s with the start assemblies in the classifieds.
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=378884 His $300 price is CHEAP as long as they don't need throttle shaft bearings. It's so cheap I'd have hit before posting here but I already have a good pair. I believe I paid 350 or 400 for mine. Of note: He changed from 44s to 40s for a 2056. There are multiple good reasons for downsizing to 40s unless you're a stroker high performance build or a built 2.0L at HIGH RPM. Gatorsnapper is a long term member with lots of posts. I'd bet he is safe to buy stuff from. |
