Hello guys!

I am in the process of changing my 3 ports fuel pump to 2 ports. My 2nd (since my ownership) 3 ports pump is intermittently giving up. I have checked connections, relay and ground wires but it still likes to cut off sometimes. I think it is a fuel pump because it always happens at steady speed. So I am changing it to a new 2 port pump at the firewall near the original location.

I unplugged the white(already discolored as everyone knows) connector and am looking at the electrical terminals. There are 2 and sizes are slightly different. I think the one that is connected to a brown wire should be negative and the other one should be +. But the 2 wires at the connector are almost the same color because of their age.

Which one is the negative, bigger terminal or smaller terminal?

I can test with a multi meter but that can be useful only if I have a helper here.

Thanks in advance for the inputs,

kkid (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
