What's the trick to remove the shift finger assembly from the trans? PO had some sealant on it. Not sure if that is holding it in, or do I need to do something else to remove it?

Search shows this part number 901 303 191 01. Seems to indicate one or the other not both. Is this a change item? Do I need both the O-ring and gasket?
