Good afternoon everyone,

It's getting cooler now autumn is here in Europe.

A question, what is the best form of adhesive/system for sticking the interior mirror back on the windscreen on my 914?

She has spent most of her life in California and I think the UV from the sun must have finally won the battle because the mirror just fell off!

In the past there has been loads of "wonder products" for sticking mirrors back on screens, but non of them worked for very long.

Some years ago I fitted a high level brake light on the interior of my VW Eurovan and that is still on there, but part of the kit were two black patches for the outside, which must have helped to reduce the UV.

I noticed that on modern vehicles they have a black printed area on the screen which obviously helps protect the adhesive.

Any help or suggestion would be gratefully received.

Thanks in advance.

Tony
