Hi All, just started working on a new-to-me 1975 914 2.0 rust bucket. Started by trying to start her up, had a good crank and brief start but carbs overflowing gas. Carbs rebuilt but now brief crank, then a few solenoid? clunks and now nothing. Only 0.2 v at the starter yellow wire (I did pull all the fuses since the wipers wouldn't stop and a lot of flashing dash lights). I know the eyes are rolling and I am going to be advised to check grounds, starter switch etc, but before I do that, is there something obvious I am missing? (seat belt interlock is spliced) Could I put 12V direct to the yellow lug to check the starter?
Thanks!
