So this sort of resembles stock. I've never been a VW guy so I have no history on this part crossing over to 914s. This part has two feet I guess were used for injection molding? Came with the additional countersunk machine screws that screwed through the top of the striker, down through a metal shim and then into the top flat area of the shim into embedded machined metal anchors. I see no metal anchors in the shims unless they are buried under the feet. Are the metal anchors under the feet? Am I supposed to cut them off? What is going on here?

Or upgrade to the safer late type which help keep the door from pressing past the door jam in case of a side impact. |
