Hello,

I’ve just rebuilt a 1971 2.2T engine, with the intention of installing it in my 914.

As I understand it, it should be possible to mate the existing side-shift gearbox to the 2.2T engine by using an early flywheel, while retaining the existing 914 clutch.

Is this correct?

Thanks in advance

That should be possible.

I'm running a stock 901 side-shifter behind my 3.6L /6 (Although not with a stock clutch).
