My MIL lives at an independent living facility 5 minutes away. Went over there for lunch, the owner of this car lives there, he's 92. Drove up just before we got there, met him at lunch, nice guy. Turbo S, I think a 2022, nice car. I was going to turn in my keys at 80, maybe I'm being hasty.

A few months ago near San Diego, we stop to fill up the family car.
In front of us, an older gentlemen is delicately filling up his nice looking first gen silver Boxster. I walk up to him and start chatting about Porsches while I am looking through the window at the stick shift. We continue the conversation as he is telling me he recently got a C8 but he prefers the Boxster. He then mentions he is 101 y.o.! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sunglasses.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) I walk back to the car and tell the story to my wife and daughter who are stunned! Then my wife ask, "how much is a Boxster like this? you should get one." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) |
