I was perusing my files on a 914 LE that went back over the pond a few years ago (sent from the US), and found the 'COA' from VW that the owner acquired and sent to me. Thought this was potentially an interesting approach to the PPS/CTCs now available.
Not sure where to source these from, perhaps a VW dealership? Attached thumbnail(s) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) its been a real saga for me and i am still progressing it. because of their silly website i can not nominate australia as the destination for a certificate. there has been about 5 emails between VW classic germany and myself. each with about 2 weeks in between. i finally got to the point of the right person taking my details for the car and instructing i would receive a link to a payment site. theor link did not work. i am about to send another email attempting to find out if that can be sorted. i have not given up. don't you worry. ------- none of this applies to you guys in either the USA or Canada. your countries come up on their menu when you fill out an order. the menu basically lists all EU countries along with the UK, Canada and USA. however Australia does not and thus.........the difficulty for me. my joke about living in north antarctica seems to be less a joke and more a reality. reminds me of my childhood when australia was probably the most obscure country in the world. the tyranny of distance and all that. however the stage i have gotten to and information i have submitted includes the engine number in the car. VW Classic will confirm the engine number (or not as the case may be) as the engine number that the car was built with. and i have had it confirmed that yes - they do classic certificates for 914s. as per karmann ghias. all the old karmann factory data is on file with VW Classic. |
