The 1.7L car I’m working on had a single carb set up on it when I got it, which I removed to clean engine, replace some seals and paint the tin. I was a little surprised that the intake runners had none of the phenolic blocks at the head area. There were only thin aluminum gaskets there - 4, one at each port. I want to verify that the stock “blocks” removal is correct and that the individual thin aluminum gaskets are the best option. There’s probably not any difference but I was considering these ones below, thoughts?
Also I have a partially complete 1.7 D-jet system, maybe I should bite the bullet and get it up and going instead.. but I figure the single carb will probably get the car running sooner and keep me motivated to mess with that later. Here’s the gaskets, they’ll work, right? https://a.co/d/04zbW7Cv . |
