I feel sorry for your buddy but I don't think there's a make or model that someone hasn't been killed in.
Hell people get killed crossing the street...what are you going to do...never leave the house? Bugs are no more dangerous than any 30yr/old car. BTW my wifes 71 super has been with us about 7yrs, including the cost of the car we've spent $3000 on it. I'm pretty sure my wife is screwing her mechanic though.
