Anyway, the 26/29 does not compute well. 26/29=.9 whereas 128/160=.8
Do you think someone goofed on the conversion? I get 32.5mpg. Maybe they wanted to stay in the 20's and 29 was as high as they could go. I distinctly remember getting 45 mpg with the 1.7 on a very regular basis. On one tank I ran 250 miles at 45 mpg and 250 more miles at whatever and got an average over 50 mpg. At the time I calculated the whatever to be about 70 mpg. This was over 25 years ago now. |
