The 914-6 is the most valuable 914. The most valuable 4 cylinder 914 would probably be the one that is in the best condition. A lot of people like the '73 2 Liter cars because they still had the smaller metal bumpers and most of them came from the factory with all the options included. The '74 2.0 is a close 2nd but in '74 most of the cool stuff (sway-bars, chrome bumpers, fuch wheels etc) all became options so many of them don't have all the options. The '75/'76 cars are heavier and have large black rubber bumpers. Many people like this look better so the beauty is in the eye of the beholder. My suggestion would be to look for the best condition car that fits in your price range.
