HOLY DAMN SHIT!!!!

okay, so it still stumbles a bit off idle, but above 3k....

it makes piss-your-pants type power

2nd and 3rd gear are like freaking warp drive kicked in.

until 5th gear, this car is everybit as fast as the last 911SC i drove. it's actually a little scary, seriously.

Trekkor: you've still got a bit more grunt, but i would be nipping at your heals in a straight line.

QUOTE (Brad Roberts @ Apr 13 2005, 12:08 PM)
Add all the power you want... the hardest part is adding driver.

I drove the 245hp 3.0 carbed car at the last event.. laying down the power on narrow tires is a test of patience. Unless Randal goes to 12inch wide rear slicks.. he will find it VERY difficult to put the power down. Ask Trekkor. He is NO faster than what he was with the stock injected 2.0 engine.

I love big engines and power... but I also enjoy watching people become "drivers"

B

You're right, Brad, watching a good driver is fun and having a car with HP can be tough to get a handle on, but it's the hp to weight that rules....assuming proper set-up & equal drivers. That's why they have classes.

As to Trekkor, I keep tellin' him to get some real live AX tires, but.....better tires make better drivers.

BTW, 3 sec in a 27 sec AX is a lifetime (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
