(IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Hi guys, got a question for you: Does the vw 2.0 ignition module on the coil handle all ignition events--or does it also go thru the computer???
I have access to a very stout 2.0 and am thinking of putting it into my teener--would like to run a stand alone ECU for injection only if it is possible--- Comments??? |

I have an intesest in the watercooled engines, as I ran a little 2.0 8v tricked out in a rabbit for a few years...but the question is what is the cost of the coversion including the motor, radiator, tranny adapter, fabbing mounts....etc etc and afterwards what is the horsepower gain/per dollar.....one big question is what type of weight difference between a hot water 2.0 and a hot air 2.0......I agree anything can be done a 16v 2.0 looks like it could be a lot of fun and a reeeely hot 2.0 should net you some decent horses my 2.0 8v prolly got 140 but the cost was close to 2500 Cunuck bucks, given a 16v will do better untill the valves pile (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) ......................I am sure Jake could help out with your HP delema for a hot air four (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif) ...... but "shall I say six" (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/aktion035.gif)
