i don't know if you followed my new motor saga/nightmare/10 month of misery, but today was a very special day!
IT RUNS yepp, it runs. almost perfect. lot's-o-power. schweeeet! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/boldblue.gif) i got so excited, i was trying to emulate the blue jumping smily, but brad told me to quit it ... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) here's what we did in a nutshell: turned dizzy driveshaft 180 deg (into it's normal position), adjusted valves correctly (thanks jake and what's his face, the guy whos name i forgot), replaced the ignition system with a MSD 6 system, coil, dizzy, box, wires etc. ditched the 40 webers and put in a set of freshly rebuild 44 IDF webers. started her up, tuned the carbs and i was ready to fly! gawd that feels gud ... i was losing faith. quickly. then i had a blast on my ~40 mile drive back home from the shop. well, until i came up on a cop car on 880. didn't wanna pass him because i have expired tags. no need to push my luck for the day ... yeah! thank you brad sir!
