I need a piece of front channel (drip edge) for the front trunk and have a buddy that has a metal shop. He will make me some new edges but asked what gauge material they are.
What was used to build the cars incase I need him to make something else? |

IIRC, 914's are made of two steel thicknesses. the structural stuff is 1,0mm - and laminated in thicker weldments as needed. the body panels are 0,7mm
---edit update--- Jeroen has corrected me that it's 0,8mm. just wanted to make sure this post doesn't get taken out of context some day and cause confusion.--- |
