I was wondering if anyone out there has shaved the doors handles on their 914? I am in the middle of redoing my 71. I am going with fender flares and think shaved doors would finish it off with a clean look.

My Saab has something like that. It's just a big-ole keey-looking thing that plugs into a hole, that you turn. You can stick your thumb in there and turn it...but it just barks at you.
