I am a new member with my first (not quite basket case) 1975 914 2.0. I bought the car with no engine, it was in the shop with a bill on it.
Can any one recomend a good choice for an engine?
Bone stock original fuel injected?
Carb motor? I found a take out from a wreck that was recently built up?
I owned a 75 911 S Targa in another life and am very glad to be back in the fold with my humble return.

first, welcome to the club! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif)

second, ANY engine is going to be better than no engine! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

i'd say a pre '75 2.0L is the best choice of stock engines, preferably will a good running stock FI on it.

after that, the sky (and your wallet) is the limit to what you can do ...
