I have a car interior that i need to ship from thousand oaks,ca to tulsa ,oklahoma ,i've tried yellow and roadway $800.00 (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) im figuring 250lbs two pallets.any suggestions?The interior is only worth $1500.00

Try a smaller non union or regional LTL carriers or a non asset based company like Pilot air. Roadway and Yellow are the same company now and charge the highest rate in the industry.

Set it up as a station delivery and pickup as well. LTL carriers will kill you with local delivery charges if its going to a residential address. Also if you can conslidate everything onto just one pallet you'd get a better rate.

If you dont have any luck PM and I'll help you find something for 1/3 that price! You shouldnt be paying anymore than .50-.75 cents a lb if you palletize correctly.
