I got the rear callipers off. I can compress the piston clossest to me when installed. By adjusting the nut and set screw. How do I compress the other piston? Thanks guys!

You can't compress it without turning the adjuster nut. In my experience the inner adjuster sometimes won't engage the adjuster worm screw without some coaxing. The inners and the outers are, believe it or not, different designs. While the outer adjuster drives directly into the back of the caliper piston, the inner adjuster engages with a toothed gear on the worm screw that drives into the back of the inner piston.
If the inner isn't movbng at all, try this. While applying pressure to the inner (big-ass screwdriver or c-clamp if you have the assembly off the control arm) simultaneously turn the inner adjuster gear clockwise (4mm allen wrench). Without the pressure from the screwdriver or clamp the worm screw has a tendency to come off the stop inside the inner half of the caliper (actually a sombrero shaped cup held in place by a shit clip.) This causes it to disengage from the adjuster nut (the adjuster nut only engages it for about 1/16 of an inch or so. It really doesn't take much movement to disengage. Another tip is to take off the brake line. Any pressure in the system might be enough to move it that little bit) It was pretty frustrating the first time I encountered it. |
