My father managed to get the passenger side torsion bar almost all the way in, except the only problem is, its jammed now! We cant pull it out or push it in and were trying not to strip the splines. Anyhow can somebody save the day by telling me how to fix the error, also is there a cap that comes off the front of the A-Frame?

If it's still on the car it'll be a challenge. Here's what I did to get a stuck t-bar out with the a-arm off the car:
Drill a hole in the cap at the end of the a-arm. Heat the a-arm with a torch right at the end where the spline is. Insert a punch into the hole you drilled and bang away - it'll come out. Seal the hole with RTV at reassembly. Good luck, Kevin Attached image(s) |
