what do the relays under the passenger seat do and do I need them??? 2.0l carbs.

Thats for the seat belt interlock thingy. It won't let you start your car unless the seat belt is done up. I imagine that its been bypassed. I'm not exactly sure how you bypass is though, so I can't say one way or the other as to if you'll still need the relay.
