what do the relays under the passenger seat do and do I need them??? 2.0l carbs.

I spliced the wires and pulled the relay...as I remember, when the relay was in the "Fastern Seat Belt" sign on the dash kept glowing or maybe it was just me. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/unsure.gif)

I spliced the yellows together and my car still ran, so those are definately the two wires to cut and splice to bypass the board.

edit: I forgot, the door buzzers probably won't work after you cut it out (kinda like the seatbelt light won't)
