I want to try and put an aluminum "veneer" on the front of a fiberglass bumper so I can maintain the nice chrome look. What do you folks think? I imagine that some very thin sheets of aluminum could be cut, polished and glued onto the F/G bumper for the original look.
I even considered mylar banner material, but I think it'll look like crap after the first stone chip.

Has this idea been tried already? Does anybody see any major problems with attempting this? Yeah,, I'll probably be the guinea pig. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/idea.gif)
