pulling my gas tank to install a new fuel pump, filter and lines......started to wonder if anything was inside the expansion tank.....any reason I couldn't substitute a lighter, smaller tank for the same purpose???

i removed the complete venting system, no expension tank, no charcoal canister, no plastic lines to the engine comp.

just stuff that i didn't deem neccessary ...
