Put the rocker assemblies back on my heads and drove home to san diego.
got very loud rocker noises coming from the engine re adjust the valves. drive it for a little while and bigger clacking noise and starting to lose power. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) I think i *effed* it up installing the new studs and then torqing the rocker assembly nuts with my old torque wrench. thought i seated the studs properly, and torqued the nuts right, but now the valves dont seem to be holding an adjust. so what the worst that could have happened? stripped the studs from the heads right? |

so i put the new rocker assembly's on with .030 spacers.
cyl #2 and #3 still are too close to adjust. Is there something about the rockers on those cylinders that makes them closer? I can see that those two are the same type. I need custom pushrods. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/dry.gif) |
