Just saw it on the TV! (CBC news)
Two weeks to the day. Minor damage this time, but they (reporters) don't know much other than it was 4 bombs...3 in the tube and one bus. I think if they catch the fuckers they should bring back public hanging...Or maybe have them drawn and quartered. |

So, next time you're running through a metro station in Paris trying to catch a train, and several guys shouting at you in French knock you to the ground and shoot you dead, I'm sure you'll feel it was justified while you wing your way to heaven... Running doesn't always mean you're guilty of anything, and it certainly doesn't mean you're guilty of a capital offense. If the guy had been a white and dressed in a business suit carrying a briefcase, do you think they would have shot him? Once they knocked him to the ground, the incident should have been over. Shooting him even once anywhere at all was WAY beyond reasonable. If it later turns out the guy was harmless (perhaps he didn't speak English, perhaps he really was just running to catch a train because he was late, perhaps he was just a purse snatcher), then if they hadn't killed him, apologies could be made and it all would have gone away. Now that the guy is DEAD, they can't really take it back, now can they? The cops may be reprimanded, but that guy is DEAD. |
