I was at stoplight in Monterey behind a new Ferrari a few years ago, a panhandler came up to the passenger door and I could clearly see the driver lean over and hand the lady $100! She just turned around and walked away, no thank you, not a smile….. nothing. At that point I realized that giving money to someone like that simply justifies the behavior rather than actually helping the person.

Driving a $200k car must make someone feel pretty guilty when they are confronted with someone holding their hand out.
