A guy on crutches came up to me at the gas station and gave me that " do you have a some change to spare, I ran out of gas" bit. I asked him where his car was (while lookning at the crutches (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif) ). He pointed randomly toward the parking lot.
I told him that I had a gas can and could fill it for him. He told me "Thank you anyway ma'am. I should be able to bring the car over here." And he hobbled away on his crutches. Later that day I saw him 10 miles across town at another corner gas station! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/blink.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) It amazes me how desperate people are for gas money to hobble 10 miles across town on crutches. |
