I am sure ths has been discussed before but I couldn't find anything using the search. So, has there been a comparison done between a 911 six and big four, like Jake Raby's engines? Looking at:
1. Overall cost of engine (plus consideration of the cost of the conversion to a six from a four) 2. power hp/tq 3. engine life 4. other issues? |

I am kind of with KT on this one, but with a slightly different twist. My logic behind starting with the 2.4 E is to spread the costs out over time. When I get the 2.4 conversion done, I've got 165hp. A year or two down the line when it needs a top end refresh, I replace the P&C's with 2.2l units to bump my compression, rework the heads, and get an "S" ground cam. Then I am at that same 200hp number of the 3.2l guys for a thousand or so less, and have a fresh top end to boot...
